By now, most of you will have heard about the OR fires and especially the McKenzie River fire. (Bing News).
Sitting about 40 miles down-wind from the fire, brought its share of interesting pics and dust / ash. This is Wednesday, and the fire started late Monday. Here are pics from Eugene.
I ended up cleaning ash 3x on day 1 from car, driveway, steps, etc … a mess.
Day 2 was calmer and without the wind, but the haze and ash remained.
These are those days when I am grateful for where I live and that I do not have to battle these fires. It’s hard to think we’re out of the woods (no pun intended) given the extent of climate change and humanities lack of action. Buckle up, this just might become the norm. … sigh
