A great piece on autonomous technology in agriculture. They embedded videos of several promising technologies which if real and filmed under natural conditions (hardly the case, but … )they are really cool. Even if there’s a bit of demo magic in the videos, the future usage models are pretty clear
What I found most interesting in the piece was the support of union … safety elements are in my experience always the first rationale for autonomous technology, as it’s ‘just common sense’.
This also most likely sets up another slice across the legs of small family farmers as they will have a hard time buying those new machines that cost even more than todays … at least until some innovation will make autonomous agriculture available to all farmers without carbon impact … anybody working on that?
